Proposed changes to permit charges and visitor sessions. Survey open from Wednesday 18th December 2019.

Overview
Dacorum Borough Council are consulting on possible changes to permit charges and visitor sessions.
If the proposed changes are implemented permit charges will see the first increase since the first Controlled Parking Zones were introduced in 2003. Inflation since 2003 has been at around 3% per annum in the U.K. (data from Bank of England). For example goods costing £25 in 2003 would cost approximately £39 today and goods costing £40 would cost approximately £62 today.
As part of the movement to cut greenhouse gas emissions, the cost of a third resident permit is proposed to rise slightly above the rate of inflation and although we are not proposing to introduce permit costs based on environmental impact at this time, we will be reviewing this option in the near future.
The times of the parking restriction operations will remain unchanged.
